Music Festival + Road Safety = Fun!
Club Zero is a pop-up activation for Transport Accident Commission (TAC) designed by Loco Group. Club Zero focuses on road safety messaging for the TAC by providing accessible, engaging and highly relevant activities and events for families to enjoy together.
Club Zero will be part of The Lost Lands on 2-3 November 2019. The Lost Lands is a family-friendly festival held at Werribee Mansion that combines music with art, installations, comedy, performance, food, wine and kids entertainment.
We will run two activities during the festival out of the Art Cart, a custom-made cargo bike stocked with craft materials and tools:
Mix Tape is a free, semi-facilitated, drop-in construction play activation for families.
Children (and adults!) are invited to transform a large-scale cardboard clad base plate into a collaborative cityscape.
Armed with rolls of colourful washi tape (tape made from biodegradable rice paper and natural rubber adhesive), recycled/repurposed materials and simple tools, kids can build roads, crossings, signage and buildings for toy vehicles to zoom around.
During the activity facilitators will teach children to drive on the left side of the road, to give way to other traffic, to stop at traffic lights, to only drive at a safe speed and to look out for pedestrians and bikes.
At the Car Wash
At the Car Wash is a free drop-in craft activity where children can make a cute car wash for toy cars using cardboard, other recycled materials and simple tools.
At the end of the activity, children can take their car wash home for further play or add it to the other car washes to make a giant car wash trail!
